CCS brings together 20 research groups in basic, translational and clinical cancer research from the Salzburg Cancer Research Institute (SCRI), the Paris-Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS) and the Paracelsus Medical University Clinic Salzburg (SALK/PMU).

At CCS scientists focus on tumor-microenvironment interactions, the immune system and cancer stem cells to explore new cancer-driving mechanisms and develop  treatments with improved therapeutic efficacy.
